You turn off the highway (285/68) that connects Santa Fe and Taos, onto a dirt road that descends along the riverside driveway to the pueblo style, adobe home which sits on the back acre of 3 acres of beautifully landscaped land.
Although the bride and groom or their immediate family have one complementary night in the house, it is also available to rent for the duration of the wedding. The house rents for $250 per night and $1600 per week. There is a $100 cleaning fee and accommodates 2-4 people. An additional bedroom and full bath are available in the adjacent log cabin for an additional charge.
In addition to the master bedroom, there is a sleeping porch on the river, plus an upstairs sleeping loft. The stunning custom bathroom has a large soaking tub and view of the river.
The living room looks directly out to the river. You can have coffee outside while watching the wildlife, such as geese, ducks, blue heron and a bald eagle family; or you can raft right up to the front yard, tie up and take the rock steps to the house.
The beautiful kitchen has all amenities and is stocked with staples, but the charming Dixon market is nearby. Visit Chiripada Winery and bring home a bottle of our local red while grilling outside on the river.
